Divorce after marriage has become a common place happening these days. Can we call this as a lack of love or compatibility? Many couples are not satisfied with their marriage life. There might be many reasons for this. Some of the reasons are discussed here.
1. Age is an important factor. Marriages after thirty years of age are largely successful. But too many people are married before the age of thirty. Early marriages or a marriage before attaining a certain degree of psychological maturity is a cause for failed marriages.
3. The sex life may become a source of dissatisfaction for the couples. There are quite a few cases of couples where one is interested in sex, while the other totally uninterested in sex. This causes a separation in the sex life which extends to separation in all facets of family life.
4. There may be a change in the behavior of the individuals after some years. A woman may not argue with her husband when newly married but as time goes on she might start arguing for trifling things. A man is more known to keep his spouse wishes fulfilled in the earlier stages of married life and tends to progressively develop neglect for her wishes in course of time. This creates mutual dislike and hatred.
5. Sometimes the parents of either couple or their siblings may become a reason for the failure. They might want their daughter or son to stay with them. This may be done for financial reasons too. This sometimes causes misunderstanding between the couples.
6. One partner may cheat the other. They may have another relationship. This will definitely cause a lack of security in their happy life. So the partner who is being cheated will go for a divorce which will later on become a mutual wish.
7. Mostly the second marriages fail. The couple is bound to feel the pressure of their old relationship. The step children and the affection shown by one of the parent becomes a cause of failure of their second marriage.
8. Many individual may have some defects in them. Some might think getting married might and marry them to another person and the marriage may fail when the defect gets known.
9. The partner may not be a person who has clean habits. He or she may be addicted to drugs or alcohol consumption. When this habit is not changed the couples seek a divorce. Most of the divorces reveal this reason.
10. The reason may be a faith or trust in some religion or culture. When one of the partner is not comfortable with the practice of the religion becomes a reason for them to get separated and get divorce.
